A Heart of Gratitude
Welcome! I pray that the Holy Spirit gives me the right words to say so that you are blessed by this. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Now, I want you to think about this question: When was the last time you truly thanked God?
I don’t mean just saying, “Oh, thank God,” after avoiding a close call. I mean setting aside time to give God your full attention—just you and Him—expressing genuine gratitude.
If it’s been a while, that’s okay. I, too, have moments where I struggle with this. But the truth is, God does so much for us, and we must take time to pray and worship Him. Let Him know how grateful you are. Tell Him how much you love Him.
The Power of Gratitude
Practicing gratitude daily can transform the way we approach life. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (KJV) says,
“In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
Notice that it says everything—not just the good moments, but also the difficult ones. It may not always be easy to be grateful in the midst of a storm, but the more you pray, read the Word, and worship, the more natural it becomes. Gratitude is a habit that grows with consistency.
Recognizing Your Blessings
You are already so blessed. Every single day, God gives you reasons to be thankful:
Waking up each morning? That’s a blessing—someone didn’t wake up today.
Having a car to drive? That’s a blessing—someone had to walk.
Being in good health? That’s a blessing—someone is struggling with sickness.
God’s blessings are all around us, both big and small. Yet, sometimes, we focus so much on what we don’t have that we overlook what we do. Even if all you had were the clothes on your back, that alone would be enough to be grateful for.
Trust in God's Plan
You won’t be able to take anything with you when you leave this world, so is what you lack really worth your happiness? It’s okay to want more and strive for better, but don’t let discontentment rob you of the joy that comes from gratitude.
God has a plan for you. He will provide everything you need—always at the right time. Trust Him.
God bless you!
Peace, love, and prayers.
