Gratitude Yields Happiness
Welcome! I pray that the holy spirit gives me the right words to say, so that you’re blessed by this. In Jesus Name. Amen.
So, I want you to think about this question. When was the last time you really thanked God? Like not just casually saying Oh, Thank God after something almost happens. I’m talking about you giving your full attention to God. Just you two, talking and you expressing genuine gratitude? If it’s been a while that’s okay. I also have periods where I too struggle with this. God does so much for us. You have to take time out to pray and worship him. Let him know how grateful you are. Tell him how much you love him. If we practiced gratitude in our everyday lives, it would make getting through each day a little better. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 KJV it says“In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” He didn’t say some things, he said everything. It’s going to be hard at first. Trying to be grateful in the midst of a storm but you must. The more you pray, read the word, worship, just feed your spirit, the more you will find it easier to express gratitude. You have to develop consistency if you want it to become habitual. Remember, you are so blessed. Every day that you wake up, is a blessing. Someone didn’t wake up this morning. Every day that you can ride in a car is a blessing, someone had to walk today. Every day that you have good health and are feeling well is a blessing . Someone else is sick. It’s so many blessing that you receive every. single. day. Praise him! Be thankful because it could be worst. Your life’s test could be harder. Never forget the small blessings either. It’s so many things in the world that we want. It makes you lose sight of the things you actually have in front of you. Even if, all you had was the clothes on your back, that’s just enough to be grateful for. You won’t be able to take anything with you when you go to Heaven. So, is it really worth your happiness? I’m not saying to not want more or strive for more but, walking around being miserable about what you don’t have isn’t what God wants. God has a plan for you. He will give you everything you need & it’s always right on time. God bless you! Peace, love and prayers.
